Meet Our Founder

JENNIFER FRIEDEL

Jennifer brings more than two decades of experience with national and international PR agencies, nonprofits, and organizations like CBS, Hyatt, and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Her career spans award-winning campaigns in humanitarian aid, refugee resettlement, and community engagement, as well as leadership roles in crisis communications, advocacy, and team transformation. Jennifer has led communication initiatives that drive awareness, build trust, and inspire action. She’s left her keystrokes on press releases, speeches, and Congressional testimonies and legislative acts — as well as clicked-through emails and share-worthy digital content.

Jennifer leads with empathy, influenced by on-the-ground experience and a deep understanding of community and connection, while maintaining a data-driven approach.

In addition to founding 10F Communications, Jennifer most recently served as the director, communications and government relations at the largest human services and immigration relief and refugee welcome agency on the East Coast and sits on the New Jersey-based Frontline Arts board of trustees as well as the Blue Star Families Maryland Chapter advisory board.

Jennifer also holds a Master of Science in global affairs from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Maryland, College Park. In her free time, she loves watching true crime documentaries, keeping an eye out for street art, and living the best #auntlife alongside her niece and nephews.

Our Name and Logo

10F Communications’ name and logo carry deep significance, embodying our mission to amplify voices and champion causes. Our name, inspired by Jennifer’s first apartment in New York City, symbolizes the foundations of transformation. She thought she’d only call the city home for a few years but ended up staying for more than 20 before returning to her roots in the Maryland/DC area. It’s a reminder that you never know where you might find your foundation, your strength, and inspiration. It's a symbol of growth, dedication, unexpected journeys, and the power of embracing new paths.

Our logo reflects this spirit of connection and evolution. It starts with a quiet, simple shape and evolves, becoming stronger, brighter, and louder over time – like the transformation of a story and impact as it moves from shadow to light. It suggests strength, clarity, and dependability enduring over time.

Who We’ve Worked With

As the founder of The Shule Foundation, to me, it’s not just about who can get the job done, but who can do it well, who I trust, and who also has as much enthusiasm and drive as I do. 10F Comms meets all those criteria. They’ve provided excellent editing and drafting work, and always provide knowledgeable suggestions and insight on how to help further our message and expand our reach. Jennifer’s diverse experience also gives her an understanding of unique circumstances and challenges, and how to best address them.
